Assembly is a real-time game/virtual environment that audience members will connect to through their smart phones. The audience will enter a world of artificial life environments that overtly utilize the metaphors employed for modeling complex behaviors at different scales - from molecular models to maps. Audience members capture elements within the simulation to cultivate them on their own smartphone before releasing them back into the collective cinematic projection. Together, the audience collectively creates a new ecosystem.
Created by Sheldon Brown, Wes Hawkins, Erik Hill, Ian Xingchen and Stephanie Angel, with support from Genotaur and the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination.
