The Filmatic Festival will host the West Coast premiere of the pilot episode of Mextasy-produced by William Nericcio (US), Miguel-Angel Soria(US), Carlos Solorio(US), Gerardo Juarez (Mexico/Spain), and Alex Balassa (Chile/Mexico), and directed by Osiris Luciano (Mexico). Mextasy is the television version of the Mextasy Exhibition, a pop-up museum exhibition based on the book Tex[t]-Mex:Seductive Hallucinations of the “Mexican” in America.
The first episode features forays into Tijuana with Raul Cardenas, conversations with Sergio Arau in LA, Oliver Mayer @ USC, and Los Hollywood jamming at Venice Beach. Other segments feature talks with León Krauze (Univision), Nathanael the street angel, and mucho mas more.
